Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Begin your journey through eastern Morocco aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus. Your guide will pick you up from your Marrakech hotel at 8:30 a.m. and escort you to the tour’s starting point. You’ll cross the majestic Atlas Mountains before descending into the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.

This impressive kasbah, consisting of six fortified structures within a walled city, offers a fascinating glimpse into a world of gladiators, desert tribes, and ancient trade routes. After an insightful guided tour, enjoy a delicious lunch right inside the kasbah.

Next, you’ll visit Ouarzazate, renowned for its stunning landscapes and famous as a filming location for movies such as The Mummy and Lawrence of Arabia. Following a brief coffee break in this city—often dubbed “The Gateway to the Desert”—you’ll continue your journey to the tranquil Dades Valley. Here, unwind at a private guesthouse featuring en-suite facilities and delight in a traditional Moroccan dinner.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todgha Gorges – Merzouga

On Day Two, we’ll venture into the stunning Todra Gorge, traveling along well-maintained roads that wind through this expansive canyon. Along the way, you’ll spot rock climbers scaling dramatic cliff faces and marvel at the breathtaking scenery. After enjoying lunch at a local café, we’ll continue onward to Merzouga, our destination for the day.

The highlight awaits—a camel trek across the golden sands of Erg Chebbi to reach a traditional Berber desert camp. While the camels will lead you through the iconic dunes, you’re also welcome to walk alongside them. This immersive experience offers a truly unique and thrilling way to discover the desert landscape.

Overnight in a Desert Camp For our final night in the Sahara, you’ll stay in authentic Berber tents. Delight in a delicious dinner beneath a star-filled sky, accompanied by the soothing rhythms of Moroccan drums. The tranquil desert ambiance and clear night will ensure a restful night’s sleep. The following morning, enjoy breakfast at the camp before setting off on the last leg of your journey toward Fes.

Day 3: Merzouga – Medilt – Ifrane – Fes

On the last day, our camels will escort us back to Merzouga, where we’ll hop into a vehicle and head toward the charming town of Ifrane—often nicknamed “Little Switzerland” for its elevated location and snowy winters. Depending on timing, we’ll enjoy lunch either in Ifrane or amidst the scenic beauty of the Ziz Valley.

As we travel through the Ziz Valley, you’ll be treated to views of dramatic gorges, golden sand dunes, and flourishing oases dotted with palm trees and rose-colored sandstone villages. The journey concludes with a drive to Fes, arriving around 7:00 p.m., where you will be comfortably dropped off at your hotel or riad.
